Subject: Access to live parts on fuse holder


Background:

The combined appliance inlet / fuse-holder / voltage selector illustrated on page 2 has certification to IEC 60320 and is being used in audio equipment in the scope of IEC 60065. As can be seen from the, photographs, the fuse carrier cannot be removed before first pulling out the appliance coupler.However, when the fuse carrier is removed there is direct access to the live fuse clip using the standard finger.

Question:

Question 1- Should the tests for access to live parts be conducted assuming that the appliance coupler could subsequently be re-inserted?(c/f "Inadvertent reactivation" of safety interlock -clause 14.7)

Question 2- If the answer to question 1 is "yes", how do we determine whether or not the fuse carrier can be removed BY HAND?

Decision:

The answer to Question 1 is "yes".

The answer to Question 2:Use the following tests as appropriate:

a) 20N for 10s as per clause 9.1.7 b) using the test hook

b) 50N for 10s as per clause 8.14

有一种组合型器具插座(输入插座、熔断器座、电压选择器一体式)通过IEC 60320认证,用于IEC 60065范围内的音频设备。当器具插座没有被移出设备时,熔断器是无法拆除的,但是如果移出熔断器后,试验指可以触碰到带电部件

进行可触及带电零部件考核时,是否考虑器具插座会被重新插入设备?(关联安全联锁装置的意外复位)

如果问题一的解答是需要考虑,那么该怎么考核熔断器会被手动移除?

Internal clearances of optocouplers when used in high altitudes


Question:

Is it necessary to apply altitude correction to internal clearances of optocouplers?

Decision:

IEC 60950-1:2005: Only optocouplers that comply with 2.10.5.5 c) are internally not affected by altitude.

IEC 60950-1:2001: Only optocouplers that comply with subclause 2.10.8 are internally not affected by altitude.

问题:

是否需要对光耦内部电气间隙要求进行海拔高度修正?

决定:

IEC 60950-1:2005: 仅当符合2.10.5.5 c)条款的光耦内部电气间隙要求不受海拔影响。

IEC 60950-1:2001: 仅当符合2.10.8条款的光耦内部电气间隙要求不受海拔影响。
